Help Wanted: LoDo Magic of Rocktober 2007
seriously! the Rockies are in need of some LoDo Magic this WHOLE SEASON! It's awesome we got Josh "Dragon Slayer" Fogg up with us (Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad he came back too!) but still, we need more 2007 magic to pull out of this cotton-pickin' NL West celler where it smells worse then Manny Ramirez's jersey after a Dodger game oh wait, he's suspended my bad, but yet he's 4th in the NL Vote lead for the all star game WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THAT? BRAD HAWPE IS BETTER THEN HIM BUT YET HE'S NOT IN THE TOP 10 NOR ARE THE REST OF THE ROCKIES PLAYERS (Helton, Barmes, Tulo, Atkins, Iannetta, Spilly, Smith!)
Anywhoo, sad to see Hurdle go & it's strange hearing "Here's the starting line up for Rockies Manager Jim Tracy" instead of Clint Hurdle after hearing it for along time, I hope I can still get Hurdle to sign my 10yr bat when I go to Wed's game against the Rays if not I'll settle for his autograph on my yearbook.

I can't even believe how high Manny is in the votes. It's further proof that the All Star game is a popularity contest, not based on merit. Brad Hawpe has the highest BA with RISP and yet he still isn't even on the top 15 (or at least not since I last checked). Unfortunately, as much as I love Garrett Atkins, his playing doesn't necessarily scream All Star worthy. Barmes on the other hand, he's made some amazing defensive plays and since moving to the two spot, he's looked phenomenal. To be honest, I couldn't believe Hurdle had kept Tulo in the two spot for so long, it seems like a good fit for Barmes.
